Ultimately the goal is to understand customer purchases and who and how they drop over time so we can work on retaining them.
It took forever to figure out how to butcher this file down to right size so I can upload it… If you look at pivot, blue shaded area, I filtered all customers that made their first purchase in Jan 2011, then added up all sales for next 12 months to get $101,070 (just using my mouse). So I want to know any given month what the next next 12 months are for a customer.
Since DT Year – date customer made FIRST purchase.
DLI Year – Year of purchase (multiple purchases over multiple years)
DLI ACT DT – Date of purchase (multiple purchases over multiple years)
