Is there anything I can do to force a varchar(255) load from power update to SQL server? The load is defaulting to max characters which is causing problems in creating views. I’m looking to remove an SSIS manual load step to configure any field additions.

Does that makes sense? Thx Charles!

You can create the table in SQL and set up the desired column data types and disable the Re Create option in Power SQL Update (columns are then matched based upon name).

Thanks Charles for confirmation. This is what I am doing today. I’ll look for easier ways in my process. Thanks!
