Hi I’ve created a slicer for our brands and an other for each model. But when i reset the slicers to reselect a new brand and model it takes 5 min to clear and re query the data in powerpivot. If i turn off the refresh it cant select data.
I have about 200-300 brands and maybe about the same in styles.
I dont think thats a lot, but maybe i’m missing something. it would be great if once i load the excel file and it collects the new data it didnt have to re query or read new data.

Sometimes when it takes time to refresh, it is due to a slicer referring to a column in powerpivot with non unique elements. I would make sure that your Brand slicer is referring to a list of unique brand in Powerpivot.
