Odd behavior with a CUBEVALUE formula that initially works, but then switches to returning #N/A. At first I had 7 slicers. When it changed to returning #N/A, I removed one of the slicers and it returned a value.  For a while.  But then it reverted to showing #N/A. So I tried going down to 5 slicers, and it returned a value again.

I figured it must be some kind of memory/cache glitch, but once it returns #N/A it continues to do so – even after saving the file, restarting the computer, and reopening the file.  I’m continuing to troubleshoot to try and figure it out, but it would seem to be a bug(?).  Anybody else seen or heard of anything similar or have any pointers?

I did make some progress on this. I had other measures showing as errors (I hadn’t bothered with them until I could figure out why the CUBEVALUE formulas weren’t working). They were unrelated to the measures used in the CUBEVALUE formulas, but nevertheless once I fixed them the strange behavior went away. (Fingers crossed that it stays that way!). I don’t see why it would work for a while and then stop working, but I’m thinking it must be something to do with calculation dependencies somehow(?).

Hopefully this helps anybody else that runs into the same problem.
