    I just came across Power Update while looking for a product which can be used to send email alerts to users of my Power Pivot Models whenever the value/values in my Excel dashboard go below a certain threshold (value). My Excel power pivot models are hosted on Sharepoint 2013 (on-premise).

    I am a bit confused as to whether Power Update can fulfill this task. My understanding is that Power Update will ‘update’ my Excel workbooks based on the built-in task scheduler. Am I missing something here? Should I look elsewhere or can Power Update meet my expectations?
